The law firm of Warren & Kallianos recently reached a confidential settlement of an electrical burn case involving a client who sustained catastrophic burn injuries to his upper body while working as an electrical contractor at a major manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC. The client was injured by an arc flash explosion while working on an energized main distribution panel at the defendant's facility. The plaintiff alleged that the defendant, as the owner of the facility, failed to follow national electrical safety standards and regulations that would have prevented the arc flash explosion from occurring. The case settled at mediation for $3,000,000.00. In addition, Warren & Kallianos successfully negotiated a complete waiver of the worker's compensation lien for the client which approximated $1,000,000.00.

As noted in a separate post, Warren & Kallianos also settled the case of a co-worker who was injured in the same arc flash explosion for $305,000.00.
